Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PrepShrep ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including students, teachers, tutors, and institutions.

2. Description of Service

PrepShrep is an AI-powered exam paper generation platform for Indian education boards (CBSE, Maharashtra SSC/HSC, ICSE/ISC). The Service generates practice papers with answer keys based on official board patterns and user-selected chapters and difficulty levels. Papers are generated using artificial intelligence and are intended for practice purposes only.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent before creating an account.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Plans

  • Free: 2 papers per week with limited features.
  • Student (₹149/month): 15 papers per week with full features.
  • Unlimited (₹299/month): Unlimited papers with priority generation.
  • School (₹999/month): Unlimited papers with custom branding and student sharing.

4.2 Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Razorpay.
  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

4.3 Refunds

Refunds are available within 7 days of the initial subscription purchase if no papers have been generated during the billing period. To request a refund, contact us at support@prepshrep.com. Refunds for subsequent billing cycles are not available.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use generated papers as actual examination papers in any official board exam or institutional exam.
  • Represent AI-generated papers as official board papers.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated papers without a School plan.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI generation process or extract the underlying prompts.
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass free tier limits.
  • Use the Service to generate content that is offensive, harmful, or unrelated to education.
  • Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the Service's operation.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service without prior written permission.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Papers generated by PrepShrep are created using artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic). While we strive for accuracy and alignment with official board patterns:

  • Generated papers are for practice purposes only and should not be considered official board papers.
  • Questions and answers may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies.
  • We do not guarantee that the generated content will match the exact format or difficulty of actual board exams.
  • Users should verify answers independently, especially for high-stakes preparation.
  • PrepShrep is a supplement to, not a replacement for, teacher-guided preparation.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The PrepShrep platform, design, and underlying technology are owned by us.
  • Generated papers may be used by you for personal educational purposes or, with a School plan, for distribution within your institution.
  • You retain no ownership of the AI model, prompts, or algorithms used to generate papers.
  • Curriculum data (chapter names, topics, board patterns) is sourced from publicly available official board syllabi.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide uninterrupted access to PrepShrep but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrepShrep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, poor exam performance based on reliance on generated papers. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time from your Profile settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
  • We will delete your personal data within 30 days of account deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of PrepShrep after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
